SEOUL, June 29 (Korea Bizwire)K-pop girl group Sistar ranked No. 1 on major local music charts for the eighth consecutive day Monday with its new single “Shake It.”

Released a week ago, “Shake It” has since been on top of the real-time K-pop chart of Melon, an online music service that dominates 60 percent of the market.

As of 9 a.m., the song topped four other charts: Olleh Music, Naver Music, Bugs and Genie.

The song’s music video has also become a sensation in overseas markets.

The video garnered more than 3 million YouTube views and surpassed 9.17 million views in total on China’s online video-sharing services, such as Youku, Yinyuetai and Tudou on Sunday.

On Saturday, a cover dance video of girls wearing the same skirt and wide-brimmed hat and dancing to the tune of “Shake It” was uploaded on the mobile app Moncast and became the talk of the town on social networking services.
