SEOUL, Sept. 27 (Korea Bizwire) – A group of prominent K-pop singers will visit London to promote the beauty and value of Korean cultural heritage.
On Tuesday, the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation announced its collaboration with KBS to host the ‘Korea On Stage in London’ performance at Wembley Arena on November 8.
This event will mark the fourth installment of the ‘Korea On Stage’ series, aimed at introducing Korean cultural heritage. It commenced with the Suwon Hwaseong performance in 2020, followed by shows at Namwon Gwanghalluwon Garden and Cheong Wa Dae. This year‘s event will be the first held abroad.
Included in the list of the prominent K-pop singers participating in the ‘Korea On Stage in London’ performance are ATEEZ, P1Harmony, STAYC, Jannabi and Lee Young-ji.
Additionally, the performance will feature the nation‘s fifth-generation K-pop groups like BOY Next Door, Xdinary Heroes and Xikers, captivating an expected audience of around 10,000 in London.
Designed to commemorate the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and the U.K., the ‘Korea On Stage in London’ performance will showcase the historical cultural exchange between the countries. British singer-songwriter Henry Moodie will also make a special guest appearance.
During the performance, a video showcasing South Korea‘s popular tourist attractions such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, Insa-dong, Namsan, and Deoksugung Palace will be screened to portray the beauty of Korean cultural heritage.
The ‘Korea On Stage in London’ performance is scheduled to be broadcast on KBS 2TV at the end of November.
