A Rustic Copper Winter Mantel with looks for both Day and Night!!
Here in the Midwest, having a fireplace is usually near the top of everyone’s wish list. It is almost primal to want to build a fire in your home. And because the fireplace often takes center stage in a room, make a statement by adding pretty seasonal decorations and accessories to your mantel. Whether your style is traditional or modern, the mantel can be dressed to suit your taste.
One of the easiest ways to freshen your decor for the season is to change up the mantel. For my winter mantel, I use some of the same pieces that were used during Christmas. This saves me time and let’s me escape the chore of putting them back down in the basement for a little longer, which is a win-win for me! The evergreen bushes, deer and pine cone candles are from Christmas. I just added 2 wooden boxes, books and copper candles to update the mantel for winter.
Sadly, we rarely light the fireplace anymore, so candles add a cozy glow instead. A glass of wine, a good book and a fuzzy throw are all I need to enjoy an evening by this fireplace.
