If white and neutrals are a “style”, then I have found mine! After painting the kitchen cabinets white, I don’t want decorate with color! It is white and creams and neutrals for me all the way babes! My family thinks I have gone off the deep end and have started putting post it notes with “Don’t paint Me” on things, but I am on a roll!
Because we had just finished painting the crown molding in this room, I was excited to see the mantel decorated. I just had to tell Matthew that his gorgeous blue (and favorite) sailboat painting above the mantel was being relocated. And replaced by a big clock! He was his usual wonderful husband self and said “whatever you want dear”! I am so lucky to have that man! Secretly, I think he is just happy that I didn’t paint over the canvas!!
The clock was recently purchased from Kohl’s. Long story short, I remembered that my Kohl’s cash was expiring and I had one hour left to spend it. Good grief! I had my eye on a clock that was forever (and still is) out of stock so I bought this one instead. When it came, I didn’t like the bronze frame. So, no shock here, I painted it Pure White using a Sherwin Williams paint sample I had left over.
Since my brushes were out, all of the red letters and trim on the “BELIEVE” blocks got a coat of white. Guys, I may have an addiction to paint! The Buck Pillow was purchased on Amazon, and the tassel throw is from HomeGoods.
We did use decorations that had gold on them….close enough for neutral I think! Look for them here next year and they will probably be white!
